Matt Simco '18 Recruiting Profile

I always pride myself on being the hardest worker on the court.  My focus is on max effort and doing the little things that make a difference but don't always fill up a stat sheet.  My basketball IQ is extremely high which allows me to dominate rebounding both defensively and offensively. Additionally, I play the game very unselfishly, always making the extra pass that leads to an easier bucket. I am a shutdown defender who will always guard the other team's best scorer and I take pride in shutting him down.

The effort I give on the court I also give in the classroom. I am a straight A student who is looking for a challenging academic experience in college that will help me strive in life. I put a high degree of importance on the academic reputation of the schools I would consider playing for in college. I am interested in being an Economics major in college.

So if you are looking for an extremely hard working, intelligent,  team focused and coachable student athlete, I am that player.
