2011-12 Highlight...
2011/12 Full GameI am interested in attending college and being a student athlete. I have always wanted to play basketball at the college level. I am currently a senior at Lebanon High School in Lebanon, NH. I play the point guard position and was the co-captain of the team as well as an honor student at LHS. In addition, I have played AAU basketball for the past several years, as a member of the Granite State Raiders, for Frank Alosa. I was selected 1st Team All State this past season and am ranked as one of the state's top players in my class on the NH Notebook (http://www.nhnotebook.com). I have been named team MVP each of the past two seasons and led the team in scoring both seasons.
I began playing organized basketball in the 3rd grade for Hartland Elementary and was coached by my parents. I have attended many basketball camps and clinics, including those sponsored by Five Star, Dartmouth College and Princeton University. I have played AAU basketball throughout New England and went to Nationals last year with the Granite State Raiders.
I have played soccer and ran both track and cross country throughout junior high. I continued running cross country my first two years of high school and was named the team MVP my freshman year which included a second place finish at the state meet for all underclassman. My true love though is basketball for which I've dedicated all four seasons to training. I wear the number 3 in honor of Allen Iverson who was a basketball hero of mine growing up. I have worked hard to develop my skills at every part of basketball as a team player including dribbling, passing, play calling, shooting and playing defense. My parents and coaches have taught me the importance of teamwork, winning and never giving up. I practice all the time to improve my skills and to become the best player I can be. In addition, I was selected by the principal of Lebanon High School to attend the National Young Leaders conference in Washington. I take great pride in being a good person above all.
Please feel free to review my information through NCSA, which includes video from the past two seasons. You can also feel free to contact any of my teachers or coaches. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss my dreams and goals with you in the near future.
Sincerely,
David H. Hampton
