Charlie Russo '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Charlie Russo and I attend Christian Brothers Academy, which participates in AA competition in Syracuse, NY. I am the first guard to play varsity basketball as a freshman since Greg Paulus, who was a McDonald's All American and a four year starter at Duke University. My high school is highly regarded for athletics, but also is one of the most academically demanding schools in the nation. I currently have a 3.125 overall GPA and have not yet taken any standardized tests. As a freshman, I started a few games on the varsity basketball team and played quarterback on the varsity football team. Currently, I am privately trained by Oak Hill stand out and former Syracuse University guard Billy Edelin, who also was apart of the 2003 national championship team. For strength in conditioning training, I am trained by former Syracuse strength and conditioning coach Cory Parker, who runs Strength in Motion. I work hard everyday at getting better as a player and teammate. That involves putting the effort in on the court, in the gym, and in the classroom. I aspire to be a college basketball player and if God allows it someday an NBA all star.
