Torin Barnes '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a well rounded young athlete that plays both men's basketball and baseball. I play as an out fielder for Harlem RBI and forward for several basketball organizations such as Manhattan East MS 224, Cardinal Hayes HS, Ephesus Church, Each One - Teach One, and Dudley Milbank. I am 6'1" and weigh 185 lbs. One of my important athletic accomplishments is that I was invited to play in the Rucker Park All Star Game. Lead the team exercises and warm-up drills before games as well as averaged highest scorer. The type of college that I am looking for is one that would award me an excellent education for real life applications and an opportunity to play a significant part as a member of the men's basketball team in which I can make an impact. I prefer a senior college in the South-Eastern or North-Eastern region. I will be applying for federal aid/ grants as well as work study due to my family�??s financial needs. I would like to explore the field of business; however I don't quite know which type specifically. My realistic goal is to start as a freshman and eventually move aggressively to play at the highest level possible.
