My name is Nika Dolidze, from Edward R. Murrow High School in Brooklyn, NY. I moved to the United States almost two years ago from a country called Georgia. I came here with many dreams and goals, the biggest of which is to play professional basketball. What makes me unique is my explosive athleticism paired with a calm composure on the court. In Georgia, I would arrive at practice early and stay until the gym closed. My coach recognized my passion and often allowed me to stay at least 30 minutes after the practice ended. Due to my family’s financial situation, I couldn’t participate in camps or programs in the U.S. that would have helped me develop my game. However, my passion for basketball never wavered, and I worked hard in every way I could. I am fully committed to making the most of my senior year, viewing this season as a significant opportunity to pursue my dreams.
