Jaydon Conway, Senior at Paul V. Moore High School in Central Square, NY. (17yrs old)
I have played basketball since I was 5 years old, both for my school and travel AAU teams. I have attended multiple basketball camps and clinics over the years along with many hours of at home training. My love and passion for the game is second to none. A few other school sports I have played are Soccer (Stopped playing in 12th grade), and Bowling (9th grade).
I just completed my second year of Varsity Basketball. I was the starting shooting guard on my varsity team this year. I recently played in the BCANY all-star game for the top seniors in section III. My hard work ethic, skillset, leadership, and ability to listen and learn has presented me with this great opportunity. I am a very hard worker and never give up, always maintaining a great attitude no matter the situation. I am a great defender, on or off the ball, I can also shoot the ball whether it is catch and shoot or off the dribble. Often opposing coaches will compliment me after games on my shooting performance and/or my outstanding hustle on both sides of the floor. I believe this says a lot about my character and how I conduct myself.
School work is also very important to me, I take advanced honors classes and I’m enrolled in college courses as a high school student. Without good grades and taking the time to study, there would be no basketball. My parents and coaches have taught me that schoolwork comes first, if you want to be a good leader you have to lead in all aspects. I work very hard to be the "example".
I would love an opportunity to attend a college where I am able to play basketball. I'm excited to find the perfect fit for me as a student athlete!
