Nicholas Fitzpatrick '25 Recruiting Profile

I was born to play basketball.  From my earliest memories, I have been athletically active, playing basketball, soccer, baseball, and team swimming.  But as time passed, it was basketball that became my sole focus.  I was named MVP of former NBA player Royal Ivey's annual camp in 2019, and remain in contact with him to this day.  He has provided me encouragement and guidance over the last 5 years, and I am grateful to have him as a friend.

Last year, I worked for months both on the court and in the gym in order to make the Varsity team at Francis Lewis H.S. in Queens, NY, and achieved my goal.  However, I suffered a blood clot in my brain from a collision on the court in week 1 and had to miss the entire season.  I participated by going to every practice and game to support my team.  Having recovered fully, I have been playing in multiple teams within AAU and a local league, DG, in Bayside, Queens.  I was the leading scorer and MVP each of the last two seasons, and my team won back-to-back championships.

Academically, I am an excellent student as my grades will show, and I always seeking a challenge through AP level courses.  All of my coaches will tell you that I am a great teammate and extremely coachable.  At this stage of my development, my sole goal is to play basketball at the college level and be part of a team community.  I hope that you will consider me in your team's plans.
