Louis Usera '19 Recruiting Profile

Hello, My name is Louis (louie) Usera, my most surmountable goal is to attend a college/university that will meet my educational needs and allow me to achieve my dreams of playing basketball at a professional level. I would be an exceptional asset to any team because I am a hardworking athlete who never stops training and I am always working towards the next level , I would also like to add the fact that my team/team mates' success is a  major part of what drives me to work twice as hard on the court. I'm not quite sure if my uncanny unselfishness and my absolute appreciation of life and the blessings I've been given with my athleticism would set me apart from other recruits but I definitely know that I've not yet met anyone with the drive and determination that I have.  For example, I have struggled with math for many years but this sophomore year my counselor and math teacher sat with me and explained that regardless of how hard I work on the court or how much I'm revered by my peers and teachers, that without my math grades improving, my goals would not be attained, well although my parents have been in my ear for years about my math grades, to have my counselor and math teacher sit me down and talk to me the way they did was enough said for me. So for my third quarter, with much peer tutoring and free internet tutorials, I managed to raise my grade by 6 points which may not seem like much to someone else but for me, where math seemed like a foreign language, it meant that if I applied myself to math the way I do to sports, theres no way I couldn't be on top.  My final math grade this year will be over 80%,  I can promise THAT!!
