Austin Oakes '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Austin Oakes, I am a 6’2” Point Guard/shooting guard.  I am a 2 year varsity basketball player for my high school team which is currently ranked 9th in New York State for Class B schools. I have been playing basketball since the 5th grade. I have played other sports which include baseball, football and track however my true passion is basketball. I do not have any restrictions as to where I would like to attend, I am willing to play at any level, including Junior College.  I am a strong team player and look to make my team successful over myself. I work hard during the off season, which has included strength training with a personal trainer, and conditioning. This past summer I attended the Point Guard College.   I would like to be part of a competitive team where I can contribute from either the point guard or shooting guard position.

Business Administration will be my course of study in college.  One day I will have a successful career and own my own business. I believe people are capable of anything if they set goals and work hard to achieve them.
