Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Dennis Vamvakas and obviously, I love to play basketball. I'm a 6ft 1 guard, 180 lbs. Since I was a little kid it was always my dream to play in college. As the years went on I got better and better. I was my varsity's team captain, and I don't mean to brag, but I am a "lights out" shooter. My senior year my percentage from 3 was 59%. After my game against Oceanside high school, MSG Varsity interviewed me and asked me questions about my shooting. I shoot around 1000 shots almost everyday. I am a very dedicated basketball player and I am also very dedicated in my studies. I'm not really sure what i want to major in yet, I am pretty much undecided. When it comes to working hard and getting better, I am always the first one in practice and the last one out shooting jump shots. Right now I can say and I've been told from many coaches that I am a division II level basketball player. It doesn't really matter to me what type of school I go to, big or small. I would prefer a medium sized school. Realistically, my athletic goals are to play at the highest level that I can.

AwardsI was apart of many clubs in high school, I always liked math, I was always dedicated in all of my school work making sure I was always able to accomplish both, basketball and school work. I didn't really achieve any school honors, I was pretty much a regular student throughout high school.
Activitiesevery year there was a math club after school, it was like extra help towards that math I was taking, i joined that every year.
