I started playing basketball when I was in 5th grade(10 years old). From the first day I stepped on the court, I've worked very hard to become the best player possible. My hard work and self motivation motivates my teammates to be the best we can be. While on the court, I have a smooth shooting touch that will stretch defenses. I lead by example and strive to be the hardest working player on each team I am apart of. I am very coachable and can learn more tips from each of my coaches. As I have been playing basketball for 5 years, many people have told me I may not have the height to compete at a high level. I look to hopefully overcome that obstacle or to work my way past it.
Off the court, I am a self motivated entrepreneur that started my own lawn cutting business when I was 12 years old. I work hard to spread my name around the neighborhood so my neighbors will call me to take care of their lawns. In the winter, I invest and resell sneakers to make money. I have created an online company and I work very meticulously to do the best job possible in restoring sneakers.
In the classroom, my goal is to achieve the highest grades possible in my classes. My dedication has helped me maintain a high GPA in the classroom. In school I enjoy math class the most, followed by science class. I would like to graduate with a diploma of Regents designation or higher while having many choices of colleges based on my academic success in high school. On the court, I'm constantly working hard to be considered for an athletic scholarship as well as an academic scholarship.
I would like to attend a highly competitive college for basketball that can also push me in academics. Any opportunities I earn as a strong combination of both academics and athletics are what I look forward to. I want to succeed in academics and have a successful career. My ultimate goal is to be involved with basketball throughout my life. I would love to play but other opportunities throughout the sport are also of my interest. Basketball is my lifetime passion and I hope to share that game with my own family as I move in that direction.
