Xavier Gissendanner '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Xavier Gissendanner and I am currently a Senior at West Irondequoit High School in Rochester, NY. I am a two sport athlete playing football and basketball. I am currently a starting 6'3" guard on my varsity high school basketball team averaging 18 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 assists per game last season. I have a 3.0 GPA and place high priorities on my education and balancing my sports life.

Some of my greatest accomplishments throughout my high school basketball career were making First Team All County, honorable mention for All Greater Rochester and earning Most Valuable Player my sophomore and junior year.  

I am a combo guard and a very versatile player being able to guard multiple positions defensively. Offensively, I can score at all three levels consistently.  My focus is always to manage the momentum in my team's favor and get my teammates involved. 

In the off season, I’ve been working on maintaining my speed, strength, conditioning and shooting consistency by playing in AAU tournaments with Corey Graham Elite, working out in the gym daily and playing summer and fall league basketball.
