Alex Shaffer '24 Recruiting Profile

In college, I aspire to play on the next level of basketball, and learn how I can increase my learning.  What I want to become after College the most is a basketball trainer for any level I can. I am a a good candidate for your team not because I love the game of basketball, but value what the game could do for my life. This means I will work as hard as I can to become successful not only for myself, but for my teammates and coaches.  What I see in me that makes myself stand out from other recruits is my dedication to the game, and what surrounds it. I know that if I cannot push myself to the best of my abilities, then how could I expect that from my teammates, coaches, and supporters. Also, I understand that academics are a big part of sports, and without good academics I cannot play the game I have come to love; more importantly, academics can set me on a track in my future. Without effort and dedication in my schooling I cannot advance in life. Thank you for your consideration.
