Basketball has been a passion of mine since I was very young and has become a part of what keeps me grounded. Having a basketball in my hand makes me happy, relaxes me, and brings me clarity both on and off the court. My father played college ball and taught me the techniques and skills, but more importantly, over the years, the game has taught me so much about myself. I have learned about my love of competition, of course, but that I also thrive on preparation and being a part of a unified team working toward a common goal. I have learned to be a leader on the court, I feel I have a high basketball IQ, and by not playing selfishly, I create open shots for my teammates and make adjustments as the game plays out. After high school, it is my desire to play basketball at the next level, putting in the hard work necessary to succeed both in the classroom and on the court.
