Personal Statement

I am just a hard working and competitive player. I don’t carry an attitude or complain with my team or to my school mates. I can step up to every challenge on the field/court and off the field/court.I have a low key work ethic which can be used as a great leadership teaching tool at my age. I know I will grow to be a stronger player for the NCAA with my intelligence and work ethic and definitely skills. I appreciate the time to watch me grow as I know i will be in the NCAA. And too I want to thank my mom , step dad and dad-for supporting me, driving me to all practises, games, tournaments, camps, teaching me, communicating to me, being the best parents to help me develop into a strong indvidual.

Offense Shooting Nicolas is an all around skilled player and has good fundamentals, shooting included. Repetition of the drill and footwork he learned this week will take him from a good shooter to a great shooter Passing & Ball Handling Ball handling is his best asset. Handles the ball like a player much older and is a willing passer and good teammate. Looks to find the open man. Defense Understanding Has a high basketball IQ and solid understanding of defensive principles. Remember the importance of defense even though you are an excellent offensive player. Intangibles Work Ethic Was very serious and committed to his work. Seemingly more mature and focused than his age would suggest. Basketball IQ Very sharp kid, who, as I stated, has a high IQ. Was always among the quickest to pick up new drills and understand direction. Additional Comment It was a pleasure to have Nic. Refreshing to coach a very serious young talent. I wish you the best in your basketball future!

Before filling this out we wanted to say a few words about Nic. It can not be understated of the terrific young man Nic is. He may be the easiest player we have ever had the pleasure of coaching. No attitude, no complaining, just hard work and competitiveness. He obviously has a good support team around him, which shows in skills that seems to jump a considerable amount every week. He has stepped up to every challenge we have issued to him and he continues to knock them out. I've yet to see someone, like him, that has his quiet, low key work ethic, that can be used as a great leadership teaching tool at such a young age. We look forward to watching his growth, whether it be with us or not. We would obviously love to have him back but understand the commitment to other teams.
