Cameron Hunter '24 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goal and aspirations, is to continue my passion of  playing the game of basketball at the collegiate level.  To be an assest to the school & basketball community.  

What makes me a good candidate for the team.  I hold myself accountable to work hard on the court, by pushing myself in every conditioning & skills drills.  I play my role, meaning I'm 6'2" 165 lbs and never played the 4 or 5 position, but was needed to play that position this year in order for the team to be successful.  I was chosen to be the team captian by my teammates, because I constantly encourage & push them to be the best they can be individually, so we can be the best collectively.

What makes me different from other recruits in character, athletics and academics, being a team captain, I have to be accountable on & off the court.  I have to make the right choices, that will directly impact my contribution to the team.  I've always been the most athletic person in my grade, team.  I'm 6'2 165lbs able to play & guard the 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 positions, I normally play the 2 or 3 in high school, during the aau season, I normally play 1 ,2, & 3, this year without dominating the ball, I averaged 12pts, 8 rebounds, 2 steals per game.  I currently have a 2.7 gpa.  I sit upfront in all my classes, I get tutoring for Math & English once a week, I have two classes that are honors level, I'm not the smartest, but I work hard at being smart in the classroom.

I'm a leader at church in our Boys 2 Men program, where I'm held accountable to lead and organize 4 quarterly community events for the boys in the program, events for boys from the age of 4 yrs old to 18 yrs old.
