I would like to attend college and play basketball and study business/financial advising. I feel I have the desire and ability to play at the collegiate level. I have a true passion for the game. I want the opportunity to play at the next level and to learn and perfect my skills under a college coach. I hope to take basketball as far as I possibly can. I have aspired to play collegiate basketball ever since I started playing in my recreational organization at the age of four. I have pushed myself to be a better player each season. I suffered a shoulder injury 3 weeks prior to basketball season of my 8th grade year, and I was told I would NOT be able to play that season because I would need surgery. I was devastated! My parents chose to seek a 2nd medical opinion and that doctor chose for me to try physical therapy. Through rigorous physical therapy and desire and determination and passion for basketball I was able to play my middle school season. I also played football for my high school the following fall and suffered a knee injury just 3 weeks prior to the beginning of basketball tryouts. I had meniscus repair/removal surgery and again, had to push myself in physical therapy to ready myself to play on the varsity team as a freshman. I pride myself as being a "Coach's player" and playing whatever position requested of me to help my team. I help my younger brother and his teammates with their basketball skills. I realize my academics are extremely important in bettering my basketball career. I truly want the opportunity to play at the collegiate level and show a college coach what my good attitude, hard work ethics and God-given talents can bring to a college team.
