Hayden Kirk '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Hayden Kirk  and I am a 6'4" 186 lb Freshman Power Forward/Center with a 6'7" wingspan. I am a multi-sport athlete who also plays LAX at the club and school level and Varsity Football.  Basketball has been my passion since I was 4 years old and early on I stood out in size, strength, agility and endurance compared to my peers. As I got older I played at the Rec, School and AAU levels  and my passion and determination only grow each season. Playing multiple sports has helped me become a well rounded athlete and build strength and coordination that sets me apart from my peers. I have strong defensive skills and ball handling skills but also excel offensively with at times having upwards of 20+pt games while still leading in blocks and rebounds.  I strive to constantly push myself to be faster, stronger and smarter while pushing myself outside of my comfort zone. I credit my strong character, work ethic, leadership skills and coachability to having basketball and incredible coaches in my life.

I pride myself in being a team player who supports and encourages my teammates while always being coachable.  I lead by example whether it be on the court/field or in the classroom.  My family is the center of my life, I have two little brothers who look up to me so I strive to be the best example possible for them. I am lucky to have supportive parents who push me to be more than mediocre and are at any event in my life big or small. 

While sports are my passion I also excel in the classroom. I have been awarded A&B Honor Roll every Semester since Middle School and have also been a member of the National Junior Honor Society since 2017. At the HS level I am taking all Honors Courses and strive to push myself to the highest academic rigor I am capable of.  I am a intern with the Orange County Sheriff's office and have been accepted into the CCP program at Alamance Community College to take college transfer courses in Criminal Justice in Fall of 2022.

At the College level my goal is to play basketball while pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice, Physical Education or Exercise Science.  I look forward to growing personally, athletically and academically while preparing myself to be successful as an adult.
