Sean Mays '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Sean Mays, NCAA ID 1904516987 . I am currently 18 years old.  I am now a Senior at Marvin Ridge High School in NC as of Aug 2020. I am no longer at Newfield High School and will be graduating 2022. I started playing basketball in 5th grade with a local intramural group MCSA. In Selden Middle School I played basketball and also soccer. I've been played spring league, summer league, fall league and a AAU team this year in preparation for JV in my freshman year. In the past 2 years I have been growing 2 inches every 6 months. Doctors are telling me I'm looking at 6'8" to 6'9" maybe taller. (Update now in 6'8" and still growing) I have been training Non-Stop to improve my ball handling skills to keep up with the growth. I can't wait for my JV season to start and give 110% on the court. I'm also currently also playing goalie for JV soccer. I have a wide variety of interests in school from politics, robotics, programming, engineering, and entrepreneurship. My current maintaining a 90 average so far this year. Some of my favorite classes this year are my Robotics and programming courses. Also there are several clubs I am involved with DECA,  General Organization (GO), and Mock Trial.  Participating in sports, clubs, and keeping my grades up is quite a juggling act but I feel it will be well worth it in the long run.
