Griffin McDonough '25 Recruiting Profile

I am a multi sport athlete, who has a primary love for basketball. Although I am an effective scorer and enjoy knocking down the three, I am a team first, pure point guard who plays their role in order to win and enjoys making my teammates better. 

My leadership skills and strong work ethic on and off the court has allowed me to hold captain positions for the u15 and u16 provincial/state teams and now co-captian for my high school team as a grade 11 (junior). 

My passionate commitment to basketball has lead me to winning numerous basketball awards such as rookie of the year for my high school team and athlete of the year for the Halifax Hurricanes. My strong commitment towards  ‘off court’ performance training has also been reflected by the number of combine records I hold. 

The devoted time I have invested  into the game of basketball is matched by my commitment to academics. Not only did I make the principal list last year I am also giving back on a regular basis by tutoring my teammates who need extra academic support. 

I have a strong desire to join a D2, D3 or overseas basketball program who is looking for a selfless, quick learning point guard who will run their offence, demonstrate leadership and contribute to a winning culture.
