Miles Penn '16 Recruiting Profile

There is no question....I love basketball. I'm the eldest of five, I live my life running plays! The most important thing someone told me once, was to be the example for my younger siblings to follow. Through basketball and getting a good education I can't think of a better way to teach them about teamwork, friendship, leadership, accountability and staying focused on achieving your goals under pressure. My mom told me that bad things happen to good people so that one day you can help others but you have to choose to let yourself be there for others. Through basketball and achieving a degree in social work or education one day, I hope to help people who have experienced bad things overcome them. I want to help them connect to things they love, like basketball has been in my life for me and help them persevere. I may not be the tallest, strongest or smartest, but I will work the hardest, the longest to be the one my team, my coach, my family can count on.
