As a lifelong athlete with a strong interest in physical fitness and maintaining good health, I have spent the last ten years developing my basketball skills and intellect. On every team, I have been respected for my work ethic, sportsmanship, and basketball IQ. People are often impressed by my slam dunks or the sky-high elevation of my tip-offs, but I am equally proud of my ability to thread a difficult pass, make an assist to my teammate, snag a crucial rebound, or unleash persistent defense. I have been recognized for my basketball skills since I was in elementary school, where I often won 3-on-3 tournaments and free throw contests. More recently, I have become well known as an elite player in Central Ohio, having been selected as 1st Team All-City three years in a row, Honorable mention All-District (Division 1) two years in a row, Honorable Mention All-State (Division 1), Most Valuable Player on the 2025 All-Star team at the 270 Hoops Battle for the City, District 10 Senior All-Star, and Most Valuable Player of my high school Varsity team. I compete on a platinum level AAU team with Midwest Basketball Club and have won multiple tournaments as a key player, now transitioning to Phenom United 3SSB to close out my senior year. I have scored 1475 career points in high school and have been independently clocked at 4.45 seconds in the 40-yard dash, at 39 inches in a vertical jump, and 60 inches in a box jump. I am working with a performance coach this year.
Outside of basketball, I am a four-year Varsity soccer player and team captain known for having a strong leg on defense and a sneaky scoring ability. In fact, I was named 1st Team All-City and 2nd Team All-District (Division 1) in soccer for the past two years and was the MVP in the league championship game, which gave me a scholarship aware from Columbus Crew and Ohio Health. I have also been a competitive baseball player throughout my youth, often selected for All-Star teams. My interests are not limited to sports, as I have seven years of experience as a string bassist in the orchestra, computer programming experience at the college level, and work as a certified lifeguard. In any setting, it is important to me to be kind and encouraging of others and to be a role model of high character.
I maintain a 4.03 GPA taking college preparatory, advanced placement, and College Credit Plus courses. Recently, I was elected to National Honor Society and take all of my senior year courses on Ohio State's main campus through OSU Academy. The ideal next step for me is a college or university where I can achieve my goal of playing high-level basketball while also completing my education in a health-related field such as exercise science, sports medicine, or physical therapy. I have already been accepted into several universities and have received some scholarship offers, and I believe I am well-prepared to take the next step in my journey.
