Starting on the Freshman team was one of my best years of playing basketball. When I was a freshman, I grew the most as a student athlete because I was a major part of the team, my teammates and coaches counted on me to do the right things on and off the court. My freshman experience helped me grow as being a team leader. My experience also lead me to focus on being a firm big man able to play at the next level.
I'm very happy that I've made Springfield High Schools's basketball team. Playing with Springfield has taught me a lot of important keys in basketball. I have learned the values of teamwork and leadership as our basketball teams went through a rough season my freshman year. In high school, I'm striving for all A's and getting into accelerated classes. In college, I plan on majoring in sports and fitness, administration/ management or Exercise science. I'm considering colleges that will be a good fit for me academically and athletically. Throughout my years playing basketball, I've had to deal with people doubting me and thinking I'm not going to last. I never gave up and continued working hard every single day. I don't only have the talent to compete for a college basketball program, I have the dedication, work ethic, and leadership skills to make a massive affect on your basketball program. I have what it takes to be on your basketball team.
