Personal Statement
My passion is education and basketball. My priorities are God, family, basketball, and education. My priority has now shifted to coaching and education. If any coaches need a summer intern, please contact me. I'm very passionate about basketball. From the chalkboard, video, drills, and game prep, I want to learn anything and everything.
Why should I be a member of your team? I see things other players don't see. I can figure out the other teams plays and strategy in game. I will sacrifice my own body and stats for the WIN. I also know my teammates better than they know themselves on the court. I pattern my game after Magic Johnson, Jason Kidd, and Steve Nash. You will see that in my videos.
Basketball is a family sport that we love. Even though I've played other sports, basketball is my favorite. My parents and family are great role models for me. My great-grandfather played baseball for Indiana University and coached High School basketball in Indiana and in Florida. My dad played and his dad played. I've played year-round since 3rd grade. Being a good athlete and good student is very important to me. I want to be the best at whatever I do. Recently, I became a member of the National Honor Society. I really take pride in that and will do my best to represent my school. I was also nominated by teachers and students to be a member of the inaugural HOPE Squad. This newly formed group will focus on helping fellow students with mental health issues, support, and positivity. I'm really excited about being a part of that team because mental health is such a huge issue. I work at Qdoba and speak Spanish. I love my job. Eventually, I plan to attend a great college to continue my studies and become very successful with academics and sports.
