Ever since I was in middle school, I’ve always wanted to play basketball and make it pro. And I thank my older brother for making that dream come true. Every day we worked on drills (shooting, passing, dribbling, etc.) until I became a young elite basketball player. At this point I became great with handling the ball so my mom and brother helped me sign up to join AAU teams and that's where the greatness started. It was really easy for me to dominate the game as a young kid because I was already advanced from the training I received from my older brother. As a young kid at St. Bernard Middle School I began to gain exposure from high school coaches. So after 8th grade, I already had a starting spot on JV during my Freshman year. Midway through the season, the varsity coach asked me to play up because he believed in my talents and that I can one day play at the D1 college level. The coach said he saw a lot of potential in me because of my height, scoring ability, and rebounding. Coach told me I can be one of the greatest players to ever play at St. Bernard High School. I talked with family and once I had their support, I thought about it myself. Even through I was a little nervous, I moved up and my game elevated. In the first game I hit my first 3 pointer on varsity and everything began to click. I really wanted to get better. Sophomore year, after I was picked to play on varsity, I started working out and practicing on my game. As time went on, I became better and better. At one point I began dominating the game of basketball at the varsity level. This year I hit a milestone career season high:1,072. Something that hasn't been done at St Bernard High School in 20 years. Playing basketball taught me to develop responsibility and good morals which I will continue to carry on as I start my college career. One of my goals is to become a better college player than I was in high school. I want to elevate my skills enough to dominate the college level. I would be a great candidate for the team because I am a team player. I am unselfish and I keep my team involved. I am different from other recruits because I am optimistic, I am a great scorer, I have a good IQ, and I’m great at making game time decisions and closer.
