Personal Statement
I am Shiloah Blevins, class of 2019. I have played basketball since I was first able and fell in love with the sport. My goal is to continue beyond my high school career as a student athlete at the collegiate level while studying psychology to ultimately become a counselor to help others. I love of making people feel better about themselves and to be a supporter when life gets hard. I hope to one day be able to make a difference in someone’s life through counseling.
I like hanging out with my friends, playing video games, shooting basketball, swimming, playing soccer or just hanging out laughing and having fun.
My high school basketball career has changed drastically this year, in that I have become our team’s captain and I am leading in points, rebounds, assists, etc. We graduated three great players last year that were our leaders, but I’ve stepped into the role with ease and I’m loving every minute. I like to see my team succeed but more importantly learn from our mistakes and make necessary corrections by working hard.
I’m excited about my future as a student basketball athlete at the collegiate level and can’t wait to begin this journey.
