Basketball has been a focal point in my life ever since I first stepped on the court. With my strong will to compete and relentless drive to persevere, I aspire to play basketball at a college level. I relentlessly train year-round to hone my basketball skills and strive to become one of the hardest working players in order to help lead my team to ultimate success.
Many believe that at 7 feet, basketball comes easy to me, but the reality is my skills are a reflection of the long hours I spent both on and off the court to become a reliable team player. My coaches can agree to my strong work ethic and will to succeed as witnessed not only by my continuous everyday participation in practices, but also outside the court where I continue to push myself to build my endurance on the track and in the weight-room, refine my ball-handling skills through 1-On-1 training, and increase my overall basketball IQ.
In the classroom, I work hard to maintain my GPA and actively make time to volunteer in my local community in various youth basketball camps as well as volunteering in political campaigns in my city.
My ultimate goal is to play in NCAA Division 1 or Division 2 basketball and I am looking to find a college that shares the same values and mind-sight and can work alongside me to be able to compete at the highest level of competition. I hope to be able to lead by example and become a role model that my peers and parents can be proud of.
