Silas Howes '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Silas Howes, a 6'2", 175 lb Guard/Wing from Southwestern Ontario, Canada. I was about 5 years of age when my parents introduced me to the game of Basketball when they bought a hoop for our driveway. What made me fall in love with this sport was making friends and learning the game with them at the house league, and since that house league, I knew I wanted to play basketball at the highest level possible. I am a resilient player who does not give up at the sight of adversity. During my basketball career, I've hit plenty of roadblocks, and I am no stranger when it comes to adversity, I've broken my leg in the past and I was out for months and I came back stronger, I've missed 3 seasons (2019-2022) due to COVID-19 and I didn't start my high school basketball career until grade 10, but I put my head down and kept working. No matter what knocks me down to the ground, I get back up and keep going.

My preferred field of study is any health science major, especially kinesiology, because the human body fascinates me.
