Personal Statement

My goal is to utilize the sport of basketball to further my education and personal growth in preparation for the game of life.  Although I have not made a final decision with regards to my continued education, I’m certain that I will choose a field that will help people in the long run – perhaps sports medicine or therapy as an example.  On the basketball court I plan to be a dynamic player who is both coachable and a team leader.  I have begun a transformation from post player at the youth level to small forward/shooting guard in high school and look forward to continuing my growth with these roles on the basketball court as I develop both physically and mental throughout my remaining high school years and college basketball career.  I will strive to continue my focus on being a team leader, being coachable and an asset to my team with regards to contributions made on the practice floor and games.  In addition, I want to conduct myself on and off the court in an honorable and respectful fashion that reflects the values that I have been raised by.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
