My name is Nicholas Rommel and I have been playing on basketball teams since the age of 10. I am very passionate about the sport and have set and achieved personal goals to become the best basketball player I can be since then. I am highly focused on understanding the game on an intellectual and player level. I have worked extremely hard to ensure I am high performing academically to reach my goal of being offered an opportunity to play Division 1 or Division 2 basketball, obtaining a great education and having the possibility of achieving my lifetime dream to play professionally. On the court I am a hard working player with a high basketball IQ, great knowledge of how to play the game in whole (offensively and defensively) and a great teammate. Off the court I am a very dedicated student and on the honor roll. I am known for being a excellent student and was honored at my school for leadership. I have been a mentor for 3 years at the Pleasant Valley Youth Association Summer Camp where I have the opportunity to teach adolescents how to be leaders and play a variety of sports. Lastly, I have played the Alto and Tenor Saxophone for 5 years and have been on the school Cross Country and Track teams. I have won 7 of 13 Cross Country meets and 27th out of 200 racers in a district meet with a time of 11:56 on a 2 mile course.
