Mike Rooney '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mike Rooney, and I am a rising senior at Emmaus High School in Emmaus, PA. It is my dream to play basketball at the collegiate level. At 6’4” and 175 pounds, I play primarily shooting guard but can readily flex to a small forward. In the classroom, I maintain a 4.1 GPA, taking honors and AP courses. I am a firm believer that hard work is essential to success and I give my all to everything I do. 

I hoped to have the opportunity to showcase my abilities this past spring and summer on the AAU circuit and during live-period tournaments. Unfortunately, I suffered a devastating setback when I sustained a right tibia and fibula fracture in April. Since that time, I have been putting in countless hours to rehabilitate, seeing fantastic progress every day, and am on track to be cleared for a full return-to-play this August. 

Basketball has been an enormous part of my life for as long as I can remember. It means everything to me. I maintain a positive attitude and I pray that I will be afforded the opportunity to demonstrate my skill and collegiate-level potential this winter.
