Personal Statement
Hello,
My name is Quentin Lawrence and I am interested in studying sports medicine, while becoming part of a collegiate basketball program. My goal is to continue to be a successful student athlete, to excel as a collegiate basketball player, and to become a professional athletic trainer.
The game of basketball has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I am a team minded player and work throughout the year to become the best athlete I can be. I also strive to be the best student I can be and I work hard in the classroom. I have put in a lot of work over the years.
I have attended college basketball camps, invitational exposure camps, and sporting events with other talented players from across the country. I also have played AAU for both Edinboro University's AYD program and the Meadville Bulldogs High School basketball team, in order to accomplish my goal of continuing to play the sport I love.
This past year, I led the Maplewood High School basketball team to it's first playoff appearance in over ten years (as the captain of the varsity team from the point guard position). I also started during the regional All Star game along with other top players in my area. I am open to and appreciate all criticism made by college coaches and would like to become an integral part of a hard working basketball program.
