Personal Statement
My name is Josh Samec. I am currently playing my High School Senior Season at Hazleton Area High School. I am a dedicated High School and AAU basketball player. I played AAU for five years with JB HOOPS in Scranton, PA.
I have been playing basketball since I am 5 years old. I grew up in a YMCA program, participating in their instructional programs and eventually league play. My Mom is the Executive Director of the YMCA and afforded me the opportunity to play all the time. I love the game and play whenever I can get into the gym.
As a grade school and Junior high school player, I always played above my age level. as I was always taller and more skilled than my peers. That always gave me an advantage to play with better players than myself. I feel that benefitted me to be more mature in my play.
I am very confident that I can play basketball at the college level. I am looking for a good fit for my game and academics.
