Kam Waters '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello coaches! My name is Kam Waters, I am a 6'2 combo guard in the class of 2025 with the aspirations of taking my basketball career to the collegiate level and possibly even pro level. I've been playing basketball since I was three years old and fell in love with the game after watching my dad, uncles, and majority of my cousins play growing up, with some reaching the the collegiate level. Each of these significant figures in my life motivate me each and every day on and off the court. I am known for my consistency shooting the ball off the catch and even off the dribble from either the mid-range or the three; but I also take a lot of pride in my defense. My 6'2 frame and long wingspan allow me to be a threat on the court offensively and most importantly defensively. Additionally, I like to get my teammates involved too, I believe one of the most underrated parts of my game is my playmaking as I can attack the rim and find my teammates either cutting or open for a three. Off the court I am a very sociable and friendly person, I enjoy making and meeting new friends wherever I go. I follow a motto "Books before Ball," as this reminds me everyday I have to stay sharp inside school to be able to play basketball, having said that I manage a 3.4 GPA attending Springside Chestnut Hill Academy. Aside from this; if I'm not working on my game or studying I like to spend time with my family and enjoy gatherings with them. What makes me a good fit for your program is the fact that I can adjust to any environment; and also my coaches, family and friends believe that I am a leader on and off the court. I like to lead my teammates during the game whether we are winning or losing until the end; but also I like to lead by example for my younger members of my family that may want to follow in my footsteps: personally, academically, or even basketball wise.
