Jacob Steckel '15 Recruiting Profile

I started as a sophomore and as a junior on our Boys Varsity Basketball Team. As captain and leading the team in PPG, minutes played and in rebounds, I was awarded Honorable Mention my sophomore year and Second Team my junior year in our MVC (Mountain Valley Conference).  I also was awarded MVP for the 2013-2104 season in Varsity Basketball at Pocono Mountain East. My senior year i was picked as a Via All-Star, and was also picked to play in the Perryman Keglovitz All Star Game at East Stroudsburg University. Since my freshman year,  I also play soccer for our Boys Varsity Soccer Team for the past 3 years.  Last season in my junior year, I was moved to the striker position and led our team in goals scored and was awarded First Team in our MVC (Mountain Valley Conference) and was on the All Area Team for both the MVC and LVC (Lehigh Valley Conference). I also just received All-Star Recognition in June of 2014 at the Future Elite 500 Camp, where only 22 players out of 500 Elite Players were selected.  I am a very motivated student/athlete and I know it takes great team play, confidence, determination and desire to compete at the college level. I believe and know I am ready for that challenge.
