William Nesbitt '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Will and I am known for being one of the main impact players and leaders on my AAU and school teams. My goal is to play college basketball for a school that values academics off the court, and provides that extra discipline, energy, and the grit aspect, both on the court and in the classroom. I am a defensively focused guard with a 41% 3 point average. I do very well at all 3 levels. When it comes to offense, I am aggressive when I have the ball and off the ball. I deliver my best shot when I have an open look, but give great assists to teammates when contested. When it comes to defense, I am known for always guarding and pressuring the best player bringing the ball up the court and keeping him in front of me . Beyond the court, I am very interested in Environmental Science, Ecology, Economics, culinary arts, art and design, and entrepreneurship. Over the summer of 2023, I attended a summer discovery INC 500 course/camp at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for a week. In addition, I also attended IMG academy for basketball skill work, training, nutrition and mental toughness courses. During 2024 summer AAU season, I averaged 15 PPG, 5 assists per game, and 3 steals per game play for the Adidas 3SGB national circuit. I am unique from other recruits in that I have been a member of Mensa High IQ Society since the first grade. My greatest strength is my empathy toward other people and desire to help those around me to feel better about themselves.  It is what makes me a great leader who others want to follow.
