Falling short from making the State Playoffs my freshman year was heart breaking for my teammates and I knowing how hard we had worked to reach that goal, but it is also what has made me into the player and person I am becoming as I enter my senior year in high school. Knowing what it feels like to not reach my goal is a feeling I will never forget, but something I have made a commitment to so I wont know what it feels like again. My Sophomore year I led my Varsity basketball team to a Regional Championship and to the State final four. Through basketball I have learned what hard work can do for you and what it means to balance my sports and academic life to ensure a successful life for the future me. I have taken upper level classes as well as college level courses since my freshman year in high school. Going into my senior year in high school I now have a total of 26 completed college credits. So if you were to ask me I know what the work load of a college class can be, but something I have been able to keep up with, along side of my extra curricular activities.
That being said I am looking for a college that can fulfill my basketball aspirations, and be the best fit for me academically as that is most important to me. I believe I do not only have the talent to compete at a college level, but also the character and work ethic to best fill the spot on your athletic program.
