Personal Statement

Hey Coach,

I'm Kade Zeiner, a small forward/shooting guard who currently plays for the McNeil Mavericks. My three goals in life are to be successful, help others whenever I get the chance, and to play college basketball. To play at the next level is very competitive/challenging, but because I'm persistent, passionate, and always striving for my best, I know I would be able to accept the challenge. Unlike other athletes, I'm hard-working both on the court, and off. If I'm not playing basketball, I'm studying to make sure I get good grades in the classroom. I constantly push everyone on my team, including myself, to work their hardest. When it's needed, I become a follower as well, letting others teach the best way to perform in a certain scenario.

This school season I was fortunate enough to be placed on my school's varsity team. I worked hard throughout the entirety of the season and was able to get a decent amount of playing time during the first half of district play. However, I was on a team with a lot of experience, considering there was seven seniors and seven juniors, so I wasn't able to play as much during the second half of district due to my coach's decision to play the more experienced players in order to clinch a spot in the playoffs. We ended up tying for second place and making the playoff picture.

Thank you for spending your time looking over and reviewing my profile, Coach. It truly is a pleasure for you to do this. I hope you consider me as a player for your team.
