Stephen Murray '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Stephen Murray, and I'm in the Class of 2025.  I've always been the tallest kid on the team, which wasn't always easy.  It took some time to grow into my body, but now every move feels natural.  I started on the Varsity basketball team as a Freshman, and quickly became a leader.  I was selected captain of my current team.  I'm well-respected both on and off the court.  I earned second team All-District honors as a Freshman and Sophomore, and received first-team honors last season.  I expect to achieve even higher this year.  When I'm on the court and in the zone, nothing can stop me.  I work hard, and don't think twice about diving to the floor to save a play.  My coaches tell me that I'm very "coachable", and that I have a high motor and basketball IQ.  I take constructive criticism and turn it into an asset.  I constantly strive to make myself a better player and person.  I even ran Track last year to build my endurance and foot speed.  When I play at my best, my attitude is contagious.  I am very loyal to my team, and want to win.  My goal is to take my talents and skills and play college basketball at the highest level.
