Personal Statement
I am a 6'0 hard working, dedicated, sophomore point guard/shooting guard from Houston, Texas and will graduate in the 2012 class. I am a starter for my high school division 5A varsity basketball team. I have played AAU for the past 5 years, in addition, this past summer, I played in the AAU 17U division- where I was the leading scorer and assist leader on my team. I have a 3.5 GPA and take honors classes, for the past 3 years.
Preferably,as a student/athelete, my choice of school would be from a medium size to a large size school, which has a strong academic/ basketball program. The opportunity to make an immediate impact from my basketball ability early on is important. I am open to all schools throughout the country, and not limited by location. As a person that will not bring any "baggage" to the table, I would definitely be an asset to a well disciplined program playing at a high level of competition.
