I have not had a ball in my hand since the day I could walk.
I was born and raised in Anchorage Alaska until I moved to Texas in 2011. My first basketball season was 2011, so I started off behind most of the competition. Since I made the personal commitment in 2011 to play in college, I believe I have worked harder then anyone else, catching up to the competition, then passing it. I was never the "8 year old phenom" that you see different people calling themselves or being called all over. However, I believe this gives me an advantage because I've had to work harder then anyone else, and I will continue to do so, throughout high school, college, and wherever else basketball takes me. I know I would be valuable for any team because my work ethic would push myself and push everyone else on the team to get better.
Also, my work ethic would extend beyond the court, being a model student athlete for your school. Being homeschooled, I have learned to manage my time and lean into my education and avoid the distractions common to many.
