2023 HighlightsMy name is Logan Killen, I am a 6’1”point/shooting guard from Killeen, TX as part of the class of 2027. I am a dedicated scholar-athlete that puts in the work both inside the classroom and on the court. I have been a starter for my AAU club team Focus Scholars for three years. Our team has won many championships and tournaments here in Texas during my time with the club. I work with the younger teams inside our organization to assist them with their progress and share my love of the game with them. I currently have a 3.3 GPA my freshman year and was inducted into the Junior National Honor Society during my three years in middle school. I became interested in sports at a young age, especially basketball. I have always had an enjoyment, talent for basketball, and support system; my father, my mother, and my grandfather shared their love of the game with me at an early age. They taught me how to understand the game, excel above my peers, and become an evolving student of the game. I am a team player who loves creating opportunities for my teammates; however, I am able to score with the best of them. I am able to create separation, pull a defender/dump to a teammate, take it to the rim for a finish, and shoot inside/outside at a high percentage. I bring an everlasting competitive element to the game with the desire to win through teamwork, self improvement and the need to overcome the opposition on the court.
I enjoy putting in the work, even when it’s tough. I’ll be the first to show up for practice and the last to leave. I stay as late as the coach lets me after practice to continue my work on my game. I am looking for a school where I can find the right balance between the classroom and athletics. I would like to pursue a university with an outstanding reputation in athletics as well as a great reputation in graduating business major students. Ideally, I am looking to make an impact both on my sport and my academic escalades for my future endeavors.
