I have been around basketball my entire life. My dad is the head coach of my high school, LaPoynor. I have attended his practices for as long as I can remember. I have been a starter for my 10th and 11th grade years. I was the 6th man on the varsity during my 9th grade season. I was the point guard for my 9th and 10th grade years, and moved to the shooting guard for my 11th grade year. I averaged 21.1 points, 4.6 assists, 6.3 rebounds, and took 30 charges for the season. The team advanced to the state semi-finals my 9th grade year, state-finals my 10th grade year, and the regional semi-finals (4th round) this past year. I was the only starter to return for this past season. I earned district offensive MVP and also All-State my junior year.
I am very involved in FCA at school as well as the youth group in the church I attend. I also am a member of the Flag Committee at school as well as NHS. I believe I have great leadership skills as well as a strong character.
I love basketball and would like the opportunity to compete in college as I work on my degree. I am currently ranked number one in my class and expect to be the valedictorian. I scored a 1210 on my SAT the first time that I took it. I am taking it a second time to see if I can improve my scores.
