Basketball has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I love everything about it - the teamwork, competition, energy and the way it constantly challenges me to be better. There's no place I'd rather be than on the court pushing myself, encouraging my teammates, and playing the game I love.
My high school leadership experience has helped shape me into the kind of athlete and teammate that college basketball programs look for. Serving in leadership roles - whether on the court, in organizations, or in the community - have taught me how to stay disciplined, communicate effectively, and support those around me.
As a team leader, I've learned how to motivate others, stay composed under pressure, and set the tone with my attitude and work ethic. I lead by example, showing up early, staying late, and putting in extra reps to help my team success. I've learned how to balance academics, athletics, and leadership and I"m used to handling high expectations from coaches, teachers, and teammates.
These experiences have prepared me to continuity to a college basketball program - not just with my skills, but with my mindset, maturity, and team-first mentality. I've ready to lead, to learn, and to compete at the next level.
I want to play basketball in college because I'm passionate about the game and want to keep growing as a player and a person. College basketball will push me to compete at a higher level, surround me with others who are just as committed, and give me the opportunity to represent something bigger than myself. I'm ready to give everything I've got, on and off the court, and be part of a program that values heart, hustle, and hard work.
