My name is John Galan and I am a prospective 2020 graduate power forward for the Nikki Rowe High School basketball team. My goals have always been to be the best player I can be on and off the court. I believe in hard work and dedication to basketball and to my education. Whats makes a great team is the importance of teamwork, motivation of others to work harder, to pick each other up when one falls, and the trust in each other in order to become a great team. I believe scoring isn’t always everything when it comes to winning games. The skills sets such as solid defense, rebounding, assists, blocks, steals are as the utmost importance as scoring does. My desires are always to keep working hard, have confidence on the court, have determination to never give up, and to be coachable in order to keep growing as a player. I currently attend IB Lamar Academy for my education which contains rigorous coursework and a tough curriculum to help me grow academically and prepare me for college. I live by one of my favorite quotes “Hard work beats talent, when talent fails to work hard”, meaning I strive to constantly work hard for the benefit of not only myself but for my team as well.
