Jacques Stephenson '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jacques Stephenson I am a Senior at Plano Sr. High School. I started playing basketball when I was 7 years old in a recreation league. When I turned eleven I began to play club basketball which I think developed my game tremendously. I made the Junior Varsity team at Plano East Sr. High School my freshman and sophomore years and have always served as captain for the teams I've played for. People tell me I'm a natural athlete. I am a great leader on and off the court. I strive for nothing less than perfection and give my coach and my teammates 100% at all times. On the court I am a very diverse player and would say my best attribute is defense and ability to guard multiple positions. On the offensive end I am an exceptionally good scorer see the floor well, and I'm a good off the ball player. Much of that is due to a high basketball IQ. By watching and studying the game I am always learning. I would like to attend a university with high academic standards and exceptional athletic program. My mother played basketball for Southern Methodist University where she broke two All-time records in 1987- All-time leading scoring and rebounding. My father played football at Vanderbilt University on a full athletic scholarship. I will always strive to follow the examples they set.
