Hello, my name is Daniel Garza, I am the youngest of three brothers which meant I had to constantly push myself to compete with my older siblings. As a child, I excelled at every sport I tried. I've played soccer, football, and baseball; but I fell in love with the game of basketball. The Lord has blessed me with parents that have always wanted the best for me and have sacrificed to allow me to follow my dream. I have been in skills training since I was 8 years old and started strength and conditioning at age 10. Through my trainers and coaches I have developed a strong work ethic. My motto has always been, "There is someone, somewhere working harder than me". That has motivated me everyday on and off the court. I am an extremely dedicated student athlete. I have no doubt I will be successful at the college level. I have been raised to understand that for the rest of my life I will have a job and a family to support. And as a student athlete, school is my job, and my team is my family and I will do everything it takes to take care of both. I have learned to manage my time to make sure that I always keep my grades up and not miss workouts, practices or games. My goals for high school is to become valedictorian and play basketball to the highest level possible. For college, I'm considering a degree in sports medicine. After college, I dream of playing basketball professionally. My ultimate goal is to be a strong testimony for my Heavenly Father.
