David Matthew Fuentes '20 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6’2 guard/wing from San Antonio TX, who graduated with a 4.0 gpa and honors. I am currently a freshman in college. I was supposed to play basketball at an NAIA college in Arkansas but due to Covid-19 that all changed. I am still looking to play though. 

My love for basketball began from the first time I played as a shy chubby fifth grader. With hard work, commitment, and love for the game, I am now a strong confident young man. I want to use my passion for the game as a tool for me to obtain a college education.

My work ethic makes me a strong student athlete. During high school I was a starter two out of the three years we made it state along with being named captain my senior year. I have always had a strong work ethic and pushed myself to be a better version of myself. 

I am a hardworking student athlete seeking an athletic environment where I can immediately contribute and make an impact on the team. Ideally I am looking for a university that offers small classes and has a strong reputable history, accounting, and pre-law department. I am currently on a double major in history and accounting.  I believe my best fit will be at a highly academic DIII university or NAIA, although I will consider all student athlete academic opportunities.
