Gerrit Twitero '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Gerrit and I am passionate about basketball; it is my chosen sport. Currently I play for an AAU team in San Antonio (HD Toros) and also on my high school team.  At the beginning of this year I was awarded MVP for a Varsity Basketball Tournament.  I am a hard worker who is quiet by nature, mostly because I am watching, listening, and learning.   My goal is to play basketball at the collegiate level. I feel that I would be an asset to a college team because I know how to balance education and extra curricular activities.  People have described me as a role model for others, a good student, and a leader.   I want to attend college to pursue an undergraduate degree in Business, then continue my education with a Masters Degree.    

A little bit more information about me:  I compete in track and field as a high jumper and finished 1st in district as a Freshman, I jumped on the Varsity team for my school, starting as a sophomore, and can clear the height of 5'11".  I am also a nationally ranked water ski jumper, ranked in the top 50 in the nation.   Aside from sports, I have served as President of the Freshman Class, Vice-President of the Sophomore Class, and Student Body position as Historian, Junior year., and will serve as the Student Body Treasurer my Senior year. I have also been nominated and selected to Texas Boys State 2019.
