For as long as I have been playing basketball, I can take one thing from it and that’s teamwork. It may sound generic but it’s 100% true. This is a skill that can help me for the rest of my life in any situation.
I’ve been playing basketball since about 2nd grade and I’ve loved it ever since. The things I love about the game is the grind you can put in. I love the effort and time it takes to be great. I also love going out there with my team and winning. Nothing feels better than winning. Some strengths I have on the court are: 1on1 defense, rebounding, finishing around the rim and my court vision. Another strength I have is that I am a vocal leader on the court, if anything wrong happens I am the the first to address it with the team as well as bring up my teammates if something goes wrong and I’m always there to congratulate my teammates. My overall goal is to compete at the Division I or maybe ever go pro but if I make anywhere to the next level I will be proud of myself. Even if I don’t get the opportunity to play college basketball I would love to get a degree in business and start a career from that.
I play the game because I love it and I owe so much to my mom, so getting any sort of athletic scholarship would be huge
